High value,
handled properly.

Above a certain figure the risks stop being about delivery dates. They are authentication, insurance, warranty jurisdiction and a declared value that has to be exactly right — too low is fraud, too high is money handed to a customs authority.

Straps, stones and CITES

Exotic-leather straps and pieces set with certain stones are screened separately under CITES, and several destinations refuse them outright regardless of the watch. We check the specific bottling of the reference before purchase and will swap to a rubber or calf strap where the exotic one cannot arrive.

The economics

Freight barely
moves the total.

A watch carries roughly 1 575 francs of value per chargeable kilo, so freight is usually under 1% of the order and the 8.1% VAT reclaimed on export frequently exceeds our entire fee. The work in this category is not logistics — it is allocation, authentication and making the warranty mean something where you live.

VAT reclaimed8.1% of the Swiss retail price, reclaimed on export and credited to you. On a CHF 20 000 piece that is CHF 1 620 back, against a 5% fee on the net value.
InsuranceTracked and insured to full replacement value on every route, declared at the real figure. High-value shipments move on express services with signature and, above a threshold, a named-recipient requirement.
Declared valueThe net figure after the VAT refund, documented on the commercial invoice. We do not under-declare. It is fraud, it voids the insurance, and it is the customer who is left exposed when a parcel is inspected.
AuthenticationBought from authorised dealers or an identified private seller, with card, papers and serial photographed before payment. Provenance we cannot document is provenance we do not buy.
